This was a first for me! Shooting an engagement session...5 years after a couple has been married! 

Andy and Krysten are dear friends and BOTH pilots in the Air Force. Their relationship has endured many separations as they each serve deployments and are based in different parts of the US. When Krysten mentioned months ago that they never had engagement photos done and she wanted some couple shots, I was so excited to create a very unique session for them. Andy and Krysten own the cutest little plane that has been very helpful in keeping them connected over hundreds of miles so we headed to the Sumter airport and made some magic. And no photos would be complete for this family without their dog, Jackie who is just as photogenic as her owners :)

Just as I hoped, the sunset was on fire the evening I shot these and the Top Gun soundtrack was rolling in my head as I captured the silhouettes at the end of this post. Picking a favorite out of these was impossible! These two have a depth of friendship and love that shines through each image!
