I am so excited to share the much anticipated sequel to the Howard family maternity session. Merritt Luke made his arrival this week and I had the joy of meeting him and capturing some of those early, magical moments after birth. As you can see, his big sister could not be more proud of her little brother and I look forward to seeing their relationship grow over the years. 

This little boy is such a gift, not only to his parents, but also to me. He is partly named after my brother Luke, whose life, love and legacy impacted more people during his short time on this earth than we will ever know. Luke's smile lit up a room and his love for Jesus and for others was contagious. In the midst of the grief and sorrow of losing a brother and friend, God has given the gift of new life and a little boy who will be a constant reminder to all of us of His steadfast love. 

"'For the mountains may depart and the hills be removed, but my steadfast love shall not depart from you, and my covenant of peace shall not be removed,' says the Lord, who has compassion on you." Isaiah 54:10
